Do this immediately
- Power the device off — right now. If it's still on, hold the power button and shut it down. Electricity + water = corrosion happening inside every second it stays on.
- Do not plug it in. Do not try to charge it. Even if the screen looks fine, internal moisture + charging current can short-circuit components instantly.
- Wrap it in a clean paper towel. The paper towel pulls surface moisture away from the ports, speaker grilles, and seams.
- Place it in a sealed plastic bag. A zip-top sandwich bag is perfect. This stabilizes the device for transport and stops dust contamination.
- Call us, or bring it in — now, not tomorrow. The longer water sits inside, the more components are written off. Same-day intake almost always saves more of the device.
